Great information and tour. Very interesting to hear how the lighthouse worked from our knowledgeable guide.
An excellent museum, fascinating and inspiring to all, well worth a visit. Cafe great as well. Many thanks.
Top notch find! A visit is highly recommended. A must see as you get a 270 degree view of the coastline at the most North Eastern point of Scotland. Another Gem is the prison museum if you in the area.
The museum has good exhibits on offer. However the tour was poor. Museum staff should be forthright with visitors who have toddlers about what is and what is not possible on a tour in terms of getting to the top of the lighthouse. Half of our group was stranded on the mid level and the tour guide before and after couldn't have cared less. Also very little attempt to bring the area to life in terms of history and folklore. Overall a poor experience.
Actually more interesting than I thought it would be. The guides were good and enthusiastic too. The lens collection was amazing!
